• Neverwinter?

Anyone here play Neverwinter? I was into it for a hot minute on the Playstion. It's a pretty fun action MMO. There has been at least one expansion since I last played. Was wondering if anyone had feedback on it.

I played it. It was fun at the start, but i found after many hours that the play was choppy slightly and lacked depth. The missions were all flythroughs. That was a couple years ago though, and they have been growing.

I actually really enjoyed it at first. Compared to WoW (which I also played back in the Vanilla/Burning Crusade days) Neverwinter was like a breath of fresh air. The PS controls made spells easy to cast, and the quests were not overly grindy. Being an adult, with a job, I also liked that I could spend a few bucks and get better weapons/armor as opposed to having to grind for hours.

Once I hit the level cap, I stopped playing. I didn't feel like trying to kill dragons all day and night, and there was a general lack of community.

I fired it up the other day, but I couldn't remember how to find certain quest givers because they all moved and I was too lazy to figure it out.

I came in at BC/LK. Played for 3 years as a raider.

I did the same thing, but then I went back, only because a friend of mine that I met virtually through WoW was in this guild and they needed a Tank for their raids. I was questing with people, we were leading 10 and 25 man raids where the microphone is going crazy all the time with random raid voices lol. I've had some of my best experiences online with those people.

I maxed one character on PS4 few years ago, then tried with the second character for the sake of achievements but stuck around level 40 areas.

I finished playing overall around the release of Barovia.

I keep considering to come back, perhaps from the beginning on PC (as my PS4 is slowly going to vain) but can't find time to start.

Yeah. It's a big time suck. But it's not as bad as WoW. And I actually like the Neverwinter real-money store which allows you to buy upgrades that normally would take days/weeks to grind for. It saves time for more casual players like myself that can't play every day.

That's true, perhaps I'll restart my story on PC. One of the reasons for dropping on it was lack of sense of the community there, but I had no good headset, nor luck to find people interested to chat on PS4 in the living room.

My PC-retro oriented entertainment room is more oriented to support the idea.

I'll announce myself if I rejoin, perhaps with some points from this list I can find new friends to play together one day.
